bookofjoe (Kindle Edition) — Episode 3: There's plenty of room at the bottom
Regular readers may recall that when I last addressed this topic on December 13 of last year, I had a grand total of 4 (IV; four) Kindle subscribers (top).
At the time I remarked on the fact that I knew who three of them were, by name.
It occurred to me this morning that on this scale, I can easily afford to offer a personal touch and add value to a Kindle subscription.
If I'm getting $1.40/month from you ($1.99/month subscription rate x 70%), it's the least I can do.
So here's what I've decided: from this moment forward, anyone who subscribes to bookofjoe on Kindle
will automatically receive, at no additional charge, around-the-clock email access to my crack research team for any and all questions, even the most trivial or absurd.
Wait a minute, joe: hasn't that feature been in effect ever since bookofjoe went live back in 2004?
I mean, you put a link to your email address (bookofjoe@gmail.com) right there at the top of your home page — so what's the big whoop about this "new" benefit?
Never mind.

World's sleepiest animal
From environmentalgraffiti.com: "An arboreal animal, koalas grabs the top position for being the sleepiest animal in the world. Found only in Australia, they live mostly on eucalyptus trees, and sleep about 22 hours a day. When awake they spend quality time only on eating."
