Mad props to reader Carol Feldman, who discovered how to use Google's new speech-to-text

After I wrote about it on March 30, Carol commented as follows the next day:

Tech-savvy I am not, but I thought to go to the Chrome apps store and found it:

After you have upgraded to Chrome 11, then you download the app.

A cute little microphone shows up on your screen by the little wrench.

Also, you will find the microphone shows up whenever you have to put in a screen name or password — and on your Google search bar!

Nice work.

You realize, Carol, that you will have to turn in your TechnoDolt™ card after this demonstration of your wizardry.

Hahaha! I will have to keep my TechnoDolt™ card until I break down and buy all of the Apple products that I am afraid of. XO Thanks for my 5 minutes of fame.
