"Lifesaver Manhole" — Allora & Calzadilla
The Puerto Rican-based artists will represent the U.S. at this year's Venice Biennale.
Their sculpture, a bright-orange life preserver from which hangs a black manhole cover, is on display at the Gladstone Gallery booth at this week's Art Basel.
It sold to an Australian collector on Tuesday for $110,000.
