Trevi Aerating Wine Glass

Clipboard019

From websites:

...........................

Hold the glistening display of the Trevi Fountain of Rome in the palm of your hand with our contemporary self-aerating wine glass.

This wine accessory features an innovative inner wine aerating platform that eliminates the need for on-bottle aerators and decanters, unlocking the true flavors and aromas of your favorite vintage simply by pouring into the inner cup.

As wine is poured into this unique wine glass, nine aeration spouts create a dazzling display inside your glass that infuses your wine with oxygen and releases stronger notes with every sip.

Take the production out of wine tasting and leave those decanters and aerators in the cabinet with our aerating wine glass.

Beautiful a-n-d clever! I have one of these Aroma - Aerating pourer. It's not as fancy but it actually works quite well.

AT LAST, A reason to go to California. http://www.americansommelier.com/
And I could show-off in the crowd, as a guy in the know, with my new glass. Just because I read "Book of Joe".
Now , if they just had a nitrogen re-filler cap or a base cartridge filler or sommelier assembly for that glass, I'd be real cool, in LA. or maybe that's over reaching?

Want to aerate a wine quickly?

Put it in the blender.

Try a blended glass versus a just-out-of-the-bottle glass. Big difference. Works best on younger, stronger reds. Don't do it to a 1982 Petrus...

Somehow, when i saw this, my twisted mind flashed to the image of the jaws-within-jaws creepiness from the Aliens movie:

That looks like fun - I love gimmicky drinkware of all kinds. I bet it's a pain to wash, though.

Wait...what's that I hear drowning out ol' blue eyes...I think it's the mighty Chicago Symphony's thundering brass right there at the Trevi Fountain...crank it WAY up (at 3:10)....
