"Johnny Get Angry" — Best kazoo interlude ever in a pop song

Screen Shot 2012-04-29 at 10.36.38 PM

In case you're pressed for time, the kazoo enters at 1:28 in this video.

Joanie Sommers' 1962 recording of this song (featured in the aforementioned video), written by Hal David and Sherman Edwards, made it to #7 on that year's Billboard Hot 100.

Lyrics up top in case you want to sing along.

If you've got a kazoo lying around, all the better.

Yes, great song, but also one of the top 3 domestic violence songs. She wants Johnny to get angry at her, hmm.
The other 2 are Sting's stalker song, "Every Breathe You Take" and the worst of all is John Lennon's "Little Girl" where he says, "I'd rather see you dead, little girl, than to see you with another man." and it gets worse.
But I just digressed .... the kazoo is as wonderful as the cow bell!

what a surprise! cool - The Wild One is a 1953 outlaw biker film directed by László Benedek and produced by Stanley Kramer. It is famed for Marlon Brando's iconic portrayal of the gang leader Johnny Strabler. - mom would NEVER let me see anything like this of course - bless her - so its the first time for me - the kazoo was really neat too
