Pivothead HD Recording Sunglasses

Forget about Google Glass vaporware — this puppy's for sale today.

Long story short from Ed Baig's review in yesterday's USA Today: They offer good quality video from a pretty well concealed camera, but you have to use a computer to change settings, etc.

Early days.

$349.

The product is still in very infant stage, I can see so many flaws. 1 hour is to short for battery life, the lug between pressing the button and glasses are taking picture is too long, what about storage , how much data they can hold.
Said that I thing there is the future for this product. Sport enthusiasts, blogger how write about visiting places , believe it or not police department may be interesting in getting those as well. And all the other professions when you need a documented prof of what you did.

NOT exactly well concealed, but in his defense, he states it's not meant to be used as a spy cam. More importantly what kind of image stabilization does that thing have because, as most of us do, he was moving his head quite a bit as he was talking? Unless you keep your head very still, which would be disconcerting to anyone you are having a conversation with, I imagine the resulting recording would be horribly shaky. And I agree clifyt, he looks like a fly.

Why must every sunglass company try to make their glasses look like douchebag-city Oakleys???

I've never seen a real person that wasn't a DB (or wished they could be one) wear anything like these.
