We never do ketchup on a dog in Chicago, I dont believe 6.02*10^23 metioned ketchup in his post. He has it exactly right as stated.

Mustard and sauerkraut make you a New Yorker enjoying one of the ubiquitous "dirty water" dogs sold all over the city.
A dog in a split-top, poppy seeded bun, with Neon green relish, tomato wedges, pickle wedges, "sport peppers" and Celery salt make you a Chicago-dog consumer.
If you want a list of horrible things done to tube steak then google, "Pink's Hotdogs" - I can't post those here; this is a family-friendly blog!

Wait one just one minute. If you were a traditionalist, you wouldn't let ketchup near your dog.
