Hunh. I've been boring comment readers to death in these pages since forever, and I've never, ever thought of this blog as anything to do, not really, with gadgets, or watches, cars, cooking utensils, flashlights (in the old days), women's shoes (by the way, whatever happened to perfumes?), technologies, computers big and tiny, or any of the other articles, gemcracks, thingamabobs, whatnots, gewgaws, doodads, or even -gulp- cats, that appear and disappear every day, 8 times a day (and sometimes extras), 365 days a year. No. This place is different, unique, indispensible, irreplaceable, because it's really about its owner/operator, who maintains a constant presence in not just the what but the how of presentation. He makes it always interesting because he's always interesting.
