Real-Life Anime Girl: Anastasiya Shpagina's Makeup Tutorial (video)
From Shine: "Still deciding on this year's Halloween costume? Check out this flower fairy makeup tutorial by Anastasiya Shpagina (a.k.a Fukkacumi), from Ukraine. The 19-year-old hair stylist uses extreme makeup techniques and costumes to transform herself into a real-life anime character. 'I'm not a like a doll, a doll is like me,' she writes on her page on vk.com (a European version of Facebook). It takes Shpagina about an hour to achieve her doe-eyed look."

Tilda Swinton stars in "The Impossible Wardrobe" (video)
Artist Katarina Jebb's new film (above) stars the impossibly strange actress — there are those who believe she is in fact an alien — interacting with articles of clothing from the historic archives of the Galliera, a Paris fashion museum.
More in Eric Wilson's New York Times story.

Voice mail is over
For me, at least, in terms of leaving voice messages for others
Why?
1. It's boring.
2. It's a pain in the butt to leave a message.
3. More likely than not the person for whom the message is intended will never listen to it for any number of reasons. And if they do, they might call back and leave me a voice message which would require me to listen to it.
There is one exception to my policy: That's when I really don't want to talk with someone but have promised to do so. I simply leave a voice message for them after working hours or on weekends or holidays, which gives me two chances to win:
1. They might never get the message because it's buried in a blizzard of others.
2. If they do get the message, I can ignore their return call and then respond to their voice message by repeating the evasive maneuver outlined above.

Breastfeeding Hat (video)
What took so long?
From Motherforlife: "This big hat will allow you to breast feed in public while retaining your privacy — without the inconvenience of breastfeeding covers that keep falling or prevent your baby from breathing correctly."
Video here.
Wait a sec... what's that music I'm hearing?
