Diff'rent Strokes — Mike Harney's fridge and mine
One of the two photos illustrating this post is of longtime reader Mike Harney's fridge.
The other is mine.
Can you guess which is which?
And what is the basis for your opinion?
I know Julie Bestry and Jeri Dansky are hyperventilating just now.

Simple.Yours is the top photo. The walls are not painted and I believe your entire house walls might be white or an off white. Plus its looks quirky and it fits you.

Food prep gloves are great if you cook meats, knead doughs, and/or make pasta several times a week. I do, and the gloves save me a lot of time cleaning gunk off my hands -- probably half an hour or so a week, a not inconsiderable savings. They're especially handy when I've got three or four things going on at once. Cutting up a raw chicken and the timer for the oven goes off? No problem -- snap off the gloves and I can get that sourdough out of the oven with no delay. It's an efficiency thing more than an OCD thing. Anyway, it's been years since I had an urge to turn around and touch the end of my nose five times each time I grab a pair.

Not hyperventilating. Unless fridge door #2 is causing you some problems - like you can't find something you want - then I don't see an issue. May not match my own preferences re: interior decor, but it's not my home!
Here's a partial look at how my fridge door looked back on Jan. 4, 2009:

Yeah, it's #2. MY fridge looks more like the bottom one than the top one (at least regarding the 'clutter'). And - using the new word Kay introduced me to - since we're both informationophiles (that's why I come to your blog), I'll conclude that if I'm like you, I suspect our fridges are similar as well.

well - unless you're trying to pull a fast one the bottom one is yours - the top one is obviously not you joe

The bottom one is yours. We've all seen photos of your house in a state of comfortable clutter. No offense intended, but the top fridge is too neat if not a bit OCD. Who uses food prep gloves at home?

I first expected number 1, but using the same sort of clues that 6.02 did, I came to the same conclusion.

Door #2. Because you're an informationophile, hence the "clutter".

Pay no attention to that box of, erm, food prep gloves. Yeah, that's the ticket...food prep. Yeah.

You are the bottom fridge. Beside the top fridge is a flyer about ticket info with a 603 area code.
Moreover, the tools hanging from the top fridge include microplane graters and two (yes, two) vegetable peelers.
If one fridge had two packages of moleskin or a flyer for the next half-marathon then the choice would be easy.

Don't know, but whoever has the top fridge is obviously getting ready to disassemble those people who were dumb enough to get into his windowless van.
