"The Acid Queen" — The Who ("Tommy")
One of the great underappreciated classics of rock.
Pete Townshend's distinctive voice lends a grating, insistent quality to the vocal that puts in the pantheon.
My favorite YouTube comment: "My buddy and I are gonna drop acid and watch 'Tommy.'"
Just so.
Townshend wrote the 1969 song.

The second half of Avogadro's quote, of course:
"And they was right!"
I just can't miss an opportunity to praise the phenomenal, late, great Madeline Kahn (doing her "I'm Tired" Marlene Dietrich from the movie)

"We heard you was hung."
Just for you two, Peachy & Flautist.
To Joe, on this Thanksgiving eve, I extend a Laurel, and hearty handshake.

I didn't ever think I would confess to this to BOJ but,
I experienced Tommy, 2001, Blazing Saddles & a few others on acid.
All three were equally epic to my sponged mine at the time.
So outrageous was Blazing Saddles that my friends and I
were silent all the way home from the theater!
