Not so fun fact: "Smoking... can reduce by 70% the chance of succesfully removing a tattoo after 10 treatment sessions."

So, bring back dermabrasion.
It has been my experience that the majority of tattoo bearers that I've met smoke.
I'm certain that Sherlock's tattoo bearer engages in other risky behaviors, too.
