Say goodbye to paper.

This is the original Boogie Board 8.5-Inch LCD writing tablet that started a revolution.

Ultra-light (4.2 ounces) and thin (1/8-inch).

Get one for on the go, in the office, and multiple places around the house — anywhere you'd keep memo pads, sticky notes, or scrap paper.

The Boogie Board tablet's pressure-sensitive LCD writing surface creates lines of different thickness based on how hard you push, just like paper and pen.

Write or draw with the included stainless steel stylus or any other suitable instrument — even your finger.

Never search for a pen or pencil again.

Sealed 3V watch battery never needs replacing.

$49.99.

For a lot more money, the Boogie Board "Rip" saves documents as PDF files. Mixed reviews here too:

We have the original and like it just fine for doodling.

The 1-star comments on Amazon are scathing. My phone takes notes, typed or hand-written. I'll pass on this one.

now you'll just need to hunt for a stylus, and a hunt for a phone to take a picture in order to save your notes/doodles, and, if necessary, learn to solder in order to replace the battery.
