Stolen Jewels — Tangible vs Virtual
From the website:
..............................
An exploration of tangible vs. virtual in relation to real and perceived value.
Using Google Image Search, the designers browsed through some of the most expensive (and often famous) jewelry in the world.
The resulting low-res images were stolen, doctored, then transfered to printed and scored leather, creating a tangible new incarnation.
Six pieces were created:
• Golden Jubilee Diamond Broach
• Ruby necklace with brooch
• Tutti Frutti necklace with earrings
• Great Chrysanthemum
• Hope Diamond Broach
• Van Cleef & Arpels Ruby and Diamond Earrings
..............................
Apiece, $169.
