The Air Counter is the radiation meter for the post-2000 generation, a superb example of "simplexity," the modern design the Japanese do so well, blending the complex with the minimal.

All you have to do is hold the battery-powered Air Counter one meter (3.3 ft) from the ground and then press the measuring button in the middle.

After around 10 seconds you will start to get estimated readings of the gamma radiation levels in the area.
