Ferragamo Grommet Sandal
Introduced as part of last year's Resort Collection.
Featured in a 1/9th-of-page 2 ad in last Friday's New York Times so you know the company thinks they're flash: hard to argue.
Way cool in black-and-white newsprint — even better in color.
$1,390 at Ferragamo stores everywhere.

You say Surinam, I say Suriname, it's an unholy mess.

Ferragamo should make another shoe out of the skin of the female Surinam toad. That would be a winner. And I would not be able to sleep for a week if I saw a pair!!!

See that darling, white lacing around the edge of the sole? Know what that means? Bitey, bitey the toes if they should rub against it.

pilai,
Here's how slow I am: I thought you were alluding ("trypophobia") to the fact that high heels cause you to trip and fall; I completely forgot about my recent post.
One more example (as if I needed another) that my appropriation of Surface Magazine's tag line — "A mile wide and an inch deep" — as my own is spot-on.

These are nice, I guess... too bad they trigger my trypophobia. [shudder]
