What is it?

Photo

I'm referring to the black circle.

Answer here this time tomorrow.

Hint: smaller than a bread box.

Another: inedible — by cat and man.

A third [bonus!]: not imported.

Unrelated: this is perhaps the best picture ever of Gray Cat's notched left ear.

It was like that when I adopted her in the spring of 2008 and I have been told it is the residual of a fight earlier in her life.

I have no reason to doubt that.

Other theories, as always, welcome.

Easy...it's an ear notcher!

It's a speaker (possibly Bluetooth).

GC may well have had an aggressive incident. Shame that the aggressor did not survive.

Looks like a Terk FM antenna.

We do that here in DC, as well. To reduce the likelihood of re-spaying a feral, I believe.

FYI That is exactly the notch we put in street cat's ears when they are trap-neuter-released in Israel.
