#73 — Hiroyuki Hamada

#73 8641 1200ps

One of my favorite artists, the East Hampton, New York-based Hamada emailed me a photo of this piece last night, adding "It's very close to being done. I'm hoping to show it this fall along with other new ones."

I'd like to attend that opening.

his work is incredible.

wabi-sabi...a japanese aesthetic that is described as one of beauty that is imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete.

this philosophy too is practiced by this motorcycle artist shinya kimura, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QUsq-PpwkKs , http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Shinya_Kimura's_Spike.jpg
