"I Had Too Much To Dream Last Night" — The Electric Prunes

This smash hit — released in November 1966 and peaking at #11 in early 1967 — by these one-hit wonders remains one of my top 10 all-time favorite songs.

I love it when it comes on my iPod shuffle when I'm at my most miserable during a road race: it never fails to lift my spirits and ease the pain.

Lagniappe: Barbara Feldon, utterly charming as she hosts and sits in with the group on her TV show.
