Meet Martin of Mpumalanga, newest addition to my Crack Correspondent Team®™©
While I was sleeping last night Martin sure wasn't, no, he was feverishly pounding out an email to me — let's see, 2:37 a.m. my time = 9:37 a.m. in Mpumalanga.
Above, what he wrote.
O! The Joy! on waking this morning and wandering out to the mailbox and finding his communication, letting me know he is on the job there in White River, South Africa.
Inovar Floor has just been named Official Flooring®™© of bookofjoe.
That oughta be worth a few extra rand in Martin's next pay envelope.
Readers in South Africa: I am personally asking you to visit Martin's Inovar location.
You say you don't know where it is?
OK, then, let me spell it out:
Inovar Floor Mpumalanga
Tel: 013 750 3228
Cell: 084 505 4603
Tell Martin I sent you for a fantastic deal reserved for bookofjoe readers.
As you know, bookofjoe is NOT aimed at the narrow segment of the world that happens to find its consciousness embedded in U.S.-based wetware but rather aims to become a global phenomenon.
To that end I have already achieved a long-held — well, at least since I started this thing up on August 24, 2004 — goal by having a majority of readers be from outside this country.
Below, a snapshot of where people looking at this are located:
The next step is to whittle down the percentage of U.S.-based fans to less than 25% by adding thousands of new attendees from all over the planet.
What with the rise of cellphones in Africa and bookofjoeTV's fast-evolving platform, I'd say that day is coming much sooner than I'd dreamed of even a year ago.

Unknown is the House,
Misc. is the Senate.
(my last jive political observation ;-)

That, Virginia, is the $64,000 question. I've been wondering about that distinction ever since I first saw this graphic.

Just curious, what's the difference between unknown and misc.?
