On hiatus.

Miss your postings! Come back, Joe!

Posted by: Sally-Lodge | Feb 2, 2014 7:37:00 PM

Just checking in. Miss you.

Posted by: Carol | Jan 31, 2014 6:38:52 PM

I feel he will be back in communication when he has an answer for the abrupt hiatus. Maybe a sudden ailment? Yes possible. We all know Joe to be a deep thinker in all things. We all know he is deeply honest too. So we must wait for his response. One will come one way or another eventually. Miss you Joe you are trully on all of our minds.

Sometimes when I am stressed at work, I watch videos of Gray Cat sleeping and laying about.

Seems like Joe's at home, resting:

Enjoy the rest - all the best from Kraków!

I'm with you, tamra. Go with your intuition.

Hi Joe, i am missing my morning fix!

Posted by: Martin | Jan 28, 2014 6:39:07 AM

Hiatus: A gap or interruption in space, time, or continuity; a break. Yay! See, all is well, looks like Joe has just fallen into a gap in the space time continuum. Since the universe warps in on itself,we can be sure he'll fall out the other side one of these days!!! Take care Joe and happy space travel.

I just assumed he was on vacation. Now, after reading these posts, it looks like he retired. Say it ain't so Joe.

Posted by: Jerry Young | Jan 26, 2014 7:29:49 AM

Me, too. Just have been checking in every day to see if there is any news.
Flautist (or anyone else, if you get any news, please post?
Best Wishes, Joe.

Joe and Gray Cat are very much missed by this daily reader and occasional commenter. I hope that whatever is keeping Joe away is resolved sooner rather than later.

Posted by: Jean | Jan 25, 2014 6:04:38 PM

It's inspiring to see so many commenting here. I too hope Joe is just taking a pause. He's become such a welcome part of so many people's lives through his blog, my own included. I think it's safe to say that he could count on quite heartfelt and vigorous support for anything he might need or wish to accomplish, from many friends he's never met in person. I hope he returns soon.

Posted by: Ron Geraci | Jan 25, 2014 5:49:09 PM

I keep checking here, too. I miss you both - Joe and cool Gray Cat.

Posted by: Lorelei | Jan 25, 2014 1:39:55 PM

What had me most worried was the disappearing posts. Now that's stopped; must have been a typepad glitch. Sounds like Joe is away doing whatever he needs to do. I miss him, too, and will send good vibes his way.

Posted by: Tara | Jan 24, 2014 10:54:39 PM

I'm worried about you. I keep checking this site daily for updates.

Posted by: Jennifer | Jan 24, 2014 10:44:58 PM

Thank you flautist for the news. Not too much, but still. Cheers from Kraków, Joe!
We all stay tuned...

Posted by: Tomasso | Jan 24, 2014 7:38:05 PM

LONG time reader here... I read everything through RSS aggregation and have missed BOJ (recently I must confess - that still says alot). Hope all is well. Love to you! You are missed!

Posted by: Matt | Jan 24, 2014 7:04:46 PM

Gosh Joe. You are missed! Thanks for all you're doing to make the world a more interesting place. Best wishes to you and grey cat. Jenny

Posted by: Jenny | Jan 24, 2014 2:40:14 PM

Thanks Flautist, that's reassuring. The most important thing is that, collectively, I know we are all sending out our love, good wishes and gratitude for all that Joe has given to us.

Posted by: tamra | Jan 24, 2014 8:16:06 AM

I think Joe's going to be okay. I don't know much but I'm pretty sure he's taking some time off to deal with personal stuff, and not knocked out cold in a ditch somewhere. I'm sending good vibes his way anyhow, though.

Posted by: Flautist | Jan 24, 2014 3:08:03 AM

Hi JoePeach, yeah, I'm feeling what you are. It is definitely wierd. I have just sent a message to flautist through her etsy account and have thought about contacting his friend Cary (whose work number I have uncovered), but am hesitant in the event that he has just gone to Bora Bora and wants to remain incognito. I know he has family (they're on his facebook) so I can assume they would be on it if he was in need of help. Yes, I looked at the local news in Charlottesville, nothing there. Not sure what to do from here.

Posted by: tamra | Jan 23, 2014 10:06:39 PM

We all miss you and G.C. Hope that she and you are ok. I know you have many good friends close by who are there for you.

Posted by: Kay | Jan 23, 2014 8:43:42 PM

Does anyone know Joe's brother to contact him?

Has anyone called his hometown 911 to see if an emergency call was received?

I really don't think Joe would just be sitting back to view our comments.

I really thing something is wrong!

Call me a worry whatever, but this just doesn't feel right.

Posted by: JoePeach | Jan 23, 2014 6:48:15 PM

Hope all is well, let us know you're ok.

Posted by: Pictou | Jan 23, 2014 5:54:19 PM

I hope all is alright. Some of you have been coming to this site for as long as it has been around and remember the days of BOJ 1.0. The 'rawer' version of this site. And I remember there was a time it went away to be replaced by this one.

I hope that Joe is alright because this site has been one of the awesome rays of light I got to see every day.

Posted by: clifyt | Jan 23, 2014 1:36:52 PM

Hope all is well. Count me among those missing your entries.

Posted by: Mike | Jan 23, 2014 11:28:00 AM

Wow, no wonder why I haven't seen any updates come over my feed readers lately.. Hope to here from you again soon.

Posted by: Rocketboy | Jan 22, 2014 11:51:33 PM

Been a good run Joe! Thanks for the ride! PEACE!

Posted by: Jeff | Jan 22, 2014 4:35:58 PM

I really hope no one posts Joe's private business here, unless he specifically asks them to. We love his website, we care what happens to him, and we are all wishing him the best. He doesn't owe us anything. I hope he'll come back soon and post more interesting things, but I'm glad for the time I've already had with his perspective and won't be mad if he doesn't.

To me the best way to leave a party is just to take off...

Posted by: Matthieu | Jan 22, 2014 12:16:34 PM

flautist? clifyt? anyone?

Posted by: tamra | Jan 22, 2014 11:39:33 AM

Wishing you all the best. Hoping, for my sake, you will return to blogging. You are sorely missed. Deepest gratitude for how you improved my day, everyday, since I stumbled across BOJ several years ago.

Posted by: Rouxbe | Jan 22, 2014 10:59:45 AM

Away can be nice. Back will be better. Be well.

Posted by: mtar | Jan 22, 2014 9:40:05 AM

Hope you are "Away" on a fun adventure! Take care.

Posted by: BJ | Jan 22, 2014 8:02:29 AM

Ah, Away, I've been there, jawohl.

Sometimes, the only place to be.

-All good things to you,
from Dr. D. und katzen.

Holler if you need a hand.

Posted by: marshall | Jan 21, 2014 10:37:05 AM

I am a little bit worried, Joe.
Whuts going on?
U'r blog seems to dissolve.
No thingies on Twitter.

Do not scare me.

Posted by: Voodooschaaf | Jan 21, 2014 9:02:16 AM

My heart is breaking: I'll miss all the videos of your damn cat through Google Glasses which I've never seen.

Not a one. lol.

Best of luck.

Posted by: jim` | Jan 21, 2014 8:52:58 AM

I'd also like to add I hope all is well...

Posted by: Fred | Jan 21, 2014 1:16:43 AM

Truly hope you're alright; maybe just a pause for the cause. BOJ is one of my daily go-to sites, so looking fwd to more later. :-D

Posted by: Lorelei | Jan 20, 2014 7:35:28 PM

Woah Nelly! I hope you're OK. I hope you come back and post somewhere, on a regular basis. I hope.
