Burger King Bacon Sundae
Anyone ever try this?
It appeared in the summer of 2012 and garnered a quite favorable review in the Huffington Post.
I don't know why it's taken nearly two years for word to reach me; apparently my Crack Research Team®™© was off chasing other strangenesses at the time.

Like Trader Joe's Sea Salt Carmel Chocolates available only at Christmas. I got smart and bought a grocery sack of them last year. Some for gifts, some for personal consumption and some still reside in my closet.

Just after commenting I came across this post at EconLog praising the advice in Tyler Cowen's "An Economist Gets Lunch". (go there)
Admittedly, he's not talking about fast food, but here's the money quote:
"An item won't be on the menu unless there is a good reason for its presence. If it sounds bad, it probables rates especially good. (...) In plain language: order the ugly and order the unknown."
Folks ... I submit that this is why "salty caramel" is so popular.

I did not try this, but I did try a maple-bacon shake at Denny's around the same time.
My family still makes fun of me over this.
And yet ... it was pretty good.

Speak for yo'sef mo'man. I dig the King as much as I do trendy bistros. Michelin can keep them stars...I'm down with the Wop.

More like: your crack research team doesn't frequent the clown, king, or that redhead.
