Used Volvo ad goes viral in Sweden

Just in from Crack boj Swedish correspondent Pippi Heavey, the following English language summary of this May 9 DN.EKONOMI story.

This is a car ad by a Swedish guy Castor, who is trying to sell his old Volvo 245. The ad has gone viral in Sweden, and I thought it could be of interest.

Castor says he wanted to get the car off his hands as quickly as possible, and he thought it'd be really fun to exaggerate the ad.

The site he used for selling the car supports video clips, and since he has access to camera equipment though his work and knows a friend who's good with the camera he decided to make this ad.

The shooting took two or three hours, and the editing took another couple of hours.

Castor had in no way imagined the ad would go viral: It was just a fun thing to do, and he'd just expected Volvo enthusiasts to see it.

Unfortunately, the car is yet to be sold.

Very kul.

With the ad gone viral, he might have better luck auctioning it on eBay.

Meanwhile, has Grey Cat seen this?
