Epic Roof Jump

From Broadsheet: "Professional stunt man Ethan Swanson does the GoPro thing in Chicago, Illinois. If you haven't seen this already, hold onto your guts."

Clarification on my part, It ain't Lincoln Park. Looking again I see the tall building downtown it being the Handcock Building on Michigan Ave. On the "Mag mile" as it were. So he's jumping prob. 10 miles up north in Ravenswood or even south Evanston. My bad. Still the effe'r is crazy. The El is noisy right Clifyt. Oil those damn wheels!

Well it wasn't like he asked anyone, and he isn't a professional here -- he just wanted to do it. He is a guy that likes to get onto people's properties and film himself doing things without their permission.

Gut-wrenching to you and me, but masterfully engineered and finessed by this pro. A full-on landing on the roof might have caused damage—or not—depending on the roof structure. However, it appears this guy hit the roof obliquely, dealing it only a glancing blow and using it to break his descent speed for a buffered landing in the stair railing below. A professional will factor in all these things. Brilliantly executed and intimately portrayed. Despite all the logic and planning I could feel the adrenaline come across my screen.

Looks like it Frisky. Had a friend that lived near an intersection that looked just like this...whole house shook when the dang thing went by and was hard to sleep!

Regardless, I would kill someone that did this to my house...how much roof damage did this jump do? I'm certain there are leaks in the ceiling now and this guy is no where to be found...

WTF? Total insanity! Great location north side of city, Chi town, my old digs. Probably Lincoln park. That's the "EL" train. Stands for elevated.
