Other people's rejection letters
From the New York Times: "Harvey Wax wanted to apply to Princeton law school, but alas, as the response above illustrates, that wasn't possible. He did go on to Harvard Law, according to Bill Shapiro, who collected 150 dream-killing correspondences for his book "Other People's Rejection Letters."

And, Harvard Law does not award The Order of The Coif. One reject who just skipped the whole process of law school and bar exam and went directly to high-dollar Partner was tripped up when he claimed that he had a Harvard Law Order of the Coif.
My undergrad college still refuses th participate in Phi Beta Kappa - stating their standards are so high that more than 50% of any class would qualify.
