Love is the only thing you get more of by giving it away

Above, a postcard I received in early February 1998 from Larry Burdick's L.A. Burdick Chocolates, announcing that year's St. Valentine's Day specials.

It's been on my refrigerator ever since, which explains why it's not as pristine as it was the day it went into the mailbox.

Many years ago I called the company and told them how much I liked the card and asked if there were any left or if they planned to reissue it.

"No" and "no."

So you'll just have to print out your own from what's up top.

Free, at least, the way we like it.

Manga Tape — "Creative Comic Drawing Tape"

From the website:

Get creative with your packaging, thanks to Kazuhiro Minami's simple yet brilliantly conceived Manga Tape, which won a 2016 Kokuyo Design Award.

You can draw your own mini manga comics with a permanent marker directly onto the masking tape.

The tape is white and already divided into cells, and also includes bubbles for speech and sound effects.

Personalize your boxes and packages and make your mail something truly special.

Each 2-inch-wide roll is 44 yards/132 feet long.

Three rolls: $54 .
