Mum has to get her car in exactly the right place in her garage or she can't get either the freezer door shut, the garage door shut or her wheelchair past the car. We found that a cork on a string from the ceiling placed to exactly touch where the mirror sticks to the windscreen was perfect.

Or you could spend absolutely nothing like I have by throwing out a used 2x4 on the floor where I need to stop.

I've got a garage that is BARELY big enough to fit a Saturn and a Miata...I don't know what the builders were thinking because it wouldn't have been too hard to put another foot or two to fit a real car in it. And its not like the cars are all that big...and its STILL a tight fit. The 2x4 was the first thing I tried when I moved it and it works perfectly and other than having to move it every week or two back a few inches, I couldn't think of anything else I'd change.
