Banana Splitter® Banana Peeler — 'Flip the top off a banana and peel it with ease'

Dl3204bananapeeler

Finally.

    From the website:

Banana Splitter lets you take the top right off a banana so you can peel it quickly and easily!

Bananas are a great snack but sometimes it's difficult to start the peel at the top of the banana.

You bend the stem this way and that, which often results in mush.

A Banana Splitter is the ideal solution!

Simply place the Banana Splitter ring over the the top of the banana and use the prongs to pierce the skin.

Then all you need to do is flip the handle up and peeling is started.

The handle of the banana splitter is 1" wide and 2¾" long so it's easy to grasp.

It's also rounded, making it more comfortable to hold.

Keep one in your desk at work and one in your kitchen for when it's time to make banana bread.

    Great for kids too!

$3.99.

I didn't realize peeling a banana required a mechanical solution. Unlike the inventor of this useless trinket, I don't need instructions to figure out the most simple of tasks.

No, really. Open it from the other end. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nBJV56WUDng

Not to mention it peels the banana backwards. Watch an ape open a banana, the ape starts at the "bottom". Another thing...when you open a banana like an ape you don't get those bitter little strings that stick to the sweet fruit. I red this recently and wanted to pass it on. Give it a try!

If you pinch a banana stem instead of trying to snap it, usually it splits and can be peeled. The magic is in the wrist action.

this is why we can't have nice things

Finally ?
Another un-needed solution ?
You don't already have a knife in the kitchen ?
Why not open the banana from the other end ?
What makes the end with the stem so attractive as a starting point ?
