Jokes aside.....

Involuntary Reflex Training is now being used seriously as a form of exercise for people who dont like other more conventional voluntary forms ( which seems to be most of the planet ).

What is it ?
Simply a way of using reactions you have built into
you as a form of exercise. They are called "involuntary reflexes" , and
here are a few examples you will be familiar with.

Not falling over ( rebalancing )
Catching a ball
Putting your hands up to protect yourself .
Catching your own weight when walking down a step or jumping off

These are all ways our body reacts to situations without thinking about
Why are involunatry reflexes so special ?

(1) They are fully intact by the age of 3.
(2) You dont need to be fit to use them.
(3) They do not degrade with age .

Unlike your voluntary reflex systems that we usually use to exercise with,
that can be lost very easily through a relaxed lifestyle, involuntary
systems can not be given or taken away from you . They are yours to keep
and use when ever needed.

Warning , these are not cardio workouts , and low force reactions will only give therapy like effects such as increase cirulation, pain reduction , flexability, tighten muscles etc..

If your aims are weight loss then you need different equipment than most companies sell. Dont be fooled by the marketers promising the earth for a few hundred dollars.

I am 68 years old - is it safe for me to use this machine?
Do you have to put it together of does it come assembled?

Um... uh...

I'm not sure I get how this thing works... but it looks dirty. You might want to enlarge the "Zero impact, tri-axial" pic a bit. At first glance I thought bookofjoe had gone bookofgigalo on me.

The instructional videos for these have got to be a hoot. I hope they got Howie Long to do them.
