Gulliver's Champagne Flute — Episode 2: The big chill

Hhghhjgh

In Episode 1 on May 23 of last year I featured a wine glass large enough to hold a full bottle.

Now comes the inevitable next stage (above).

From the website:

Giant Stemware Chiller Doubles As A Punchbowl

Serve up a larger-than-life focal point with these crystal-like acrylic glasses, shaped like traditional stemmed drinkware but as tall as a table.

Each is perfect as a tableside wine cooler, candleholder, vase or giant candy dish.

Food-safe, too, so fill with party mix!

....................

• Champagne flute — 47"H x 7"Dia.

• Red wine glass — 44"H x 11-1/2"Dia.

• White wine glass — 36"H x 9-1/2"Dia.

Quite nifty, actually: throw the bottle in the glass along with the wine.

Each, $149.99.

Can you imagine... Where would one store such a thing? Leave it outside and every time it rains it would fill with water - or the dog would knock it over - or the wind would blow it to smithereens.

Leave it in the house and... well... you'd hve to have a really big house, with no small children.

Although they might make for great conversation...I dont' think I want one of these. I do like the little pots they use for a bottle of wine at a famous Italian chain restuarant tho. They are made of heavy steel or something like it and have those pretty grapes and vines embossed on most of it. Too bad they were too big to fit in my purse or else that would have made it home too....=) Just Kiddin....ya'll!!!
