Stained Glass Umbrella

The unusual 10-panel umbrella (most have 8)) has a design based on the Washington [D.C.] National Cathedral's 25-foot-wide Creation Rose window, itself created from over 10,500 pieces of handblown glass.

From the outside it's richly colored and from the inside it's a stained-glass-like spectacle measuring 41" across when open; folds to 16" long.

The National Cathedral Museum Shop is at Massachusetts and Wisconsin Avenues NW; 202-537-6200.
