Johnny-Light — 'Aim to please, even in the dark!'
The product's tagline isn't half bad but it doesn't begin to make up for that dreadful name.
I mean, come on: pre-schoolers given this to play with could do better.

I just spotted this -- like about 2 1/2 years after it was posted. I checked out Johnny Light, Inc. They've sold more than 300,000 of this product, are in more than 1,000 Lowe's Home Improvement Stores, have used that name for 13 years, and has appeared on the "Leeza," "Howie Mandell," "Regis..." shows, as well as in Glamour Magazine, on CBS World News Overnight, The "NBC Today Show," in Scandinavian magazines, Asian blogs, Israeli newsletters, and coast-to-coast on nationally syndicated magazines, on hundreds of radio stations (gag contest) in the U.S. and Canada, and was gifted at the Oscar Awards pre-dinner event. It is on so many websites that to change its name now, would seem to defeat its long-running "guerilla marketing" efforts.
And the owner says the company is for sale -- lock, stock & barrell.

We offer over 13,000 unique items and this dadgum Johnny Light is far and away our most popular item. Certainly not something I would have guessed.

I also found this really cool toilet light. Unlike the Johnny-Light this light can be used on more than just your toilet. It works great on your front door, bedside, baby's crib, RV, etc... Check it out! http://www.bathroomtoiletseatlights.com
