Sani-Shopping Cover — 'Prevents transfer of germs and bacteria from shopping cart handle to your — and baby's — hands'
Invented by Sandra Barbor, 60, of Sandwich, Illinois who, according to a story in the November 5, 2006 New York Times, "was always bothered by having to grasp the handles of shopping carts."
Long story short: The Sani-Shopping Cover is a vinyl strip that adheres to cart handles.

Ok ppl this is for little kids or babies not touching chicken leg packages. Actually we just love this little thing that we bought off ebay that covers up the whole seat and handle of the shopping cart for baby to sit in and I can't for the life of me remember the name of it. Note to self. ASK DAUGHTER in LAW what the heck is the name of it?? I even bought it for her! I will find out and post later.
I know your worried about it. hahaha
I am usually NOT paranoid on germs. BUT I will give you this. People are dirty. They wipe their noses or cough in their hands or wipe their ass with the same hand that picks up that chicken pack without even giving it a second thought? Or possibly washing their hands first or after. Also it's the same hand that pushes the cart that the baby just bends over and takes a lick of. YUCK!!!

Once your hands leave the cart handle and touches something, like a wet chicken leg package, how does the cart handle kill the germ? It doesn't. The cart handle is now no different than without Sani-Handle.

Wouldn't it be more effective to shrink wrap the kid?
