Copper Bedding

1rhthgg

Say what?

Just that: sheets and pillowcases with tiny copper filaments (below)

woven into the material.

The company says the metal prevents microbe growth and improves skin appearance.

From the website:

Better Looking Skin While You Sleep!

Cupron® embeds copper into fabric to:

    • Reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles, fine lines, and liver spots

    • Safely eliminate the bacteria and fungus that cause odor

    • Protect you from bacteria, fungi, and mold

    • Provide a hypo-allergenic fabric

....................

One color (surprise): Natural Copper.

$30 to $192.

I may spring for a pillowcase

just for the heck of it.

Grossly overpriced and the beauty claims are crap, but the antimicrobial claims have a grain of truth: http://tinyurl.com/6ecsxl

i'm already imagining "copper cloths obsessions". we all have an idea where our cheeky and nasty bacteria are developing, i'm sure we'll see some inventive and medical fashion design. question is, are we not getting too clean?

Best avoided if you have Wilson's Disease, I suspect.

Wonder what the sheets smell like - if you handle copper then smell your hands it's not particularly nice - if these are the same you can keep them.

Although, the odd lightning strike could wreak some serious havoc, I reckon.

Hmmm...It seems like if you're working toward eliminating bacteria, fungi, mold, odor, etc., the place to put the copper fibers would be in the underpants and socks.

I can just envision the follow-up product now. Magnetic bedframe, with sheets impregnated with iron filings. "Get a continuous MRI all night long! Support your immune system by re-aligning protons for deeper sleep! Diagnose diseases continuously with our USB-upload option!" Sheeeeesh.
