Amanda Congdon doesn't have to watch her back quite yet, is all I can say after viewing this interesting venture into completely computerized news broadcasting.

Google News chooses by machine, without human intervention; Newsatseven.com takes it to the next level and lets a machine deliver it.

I note that sometime between Newsatseven's first broadcast on October 16, 2006 and the most recent one on January 5, 2007, they've tossed the guy (above, left) overboard in favor of letting Alex (above, right) go solo.

No hard feelings intended or incurred — right?

At least until Simone and her ilk decide enough is enough.

But I digress.

Am I the only one who thinks Alex is a dead ringer for Adrianne Curry?

Alex and Barney are from the game Half Life 2. It's pretty neat to see what people can do with game SDKs. If hte voices were better, I'd actually watch it, but the monotone computer generated voices just don't do it for me.
