The most disgusting ad of 2007
Reproduced above, it's in the latest issue of Sports Illustrated.
Old Spice needs to sack its advertising agency for creating it and its advertising department for signing off on it.
Does the venerable product really want to be associated with this sight?
I didn't think so.
This is what happens when clever people who are full of themselves decide they want to create something edgy.

Old Spice is for CREEPY OLD MEN! It stinks too! I can't stand the stench of a man wearing it, especially in an elevator. Yuck!

I agree with clifyt, this add is pretty funny. If you are older than 34, Old Spice Body Wash doesn't really care what you think. I think its a smart advertisement. The folks at Wieden and Kennedy, who also represent Nike, know what they are doing.

I don't know, I laughed. This is pretty disgusting, but that is what they are saying...if you don't want this, pick our product. I remember too many times, having a roommate, and grabbing *MY* soap, in *MY* tray, on *MY* side of the shower, only to see this. I don't care what anyone else says, sharing soap is disgusting and this ad is a perfect example of this.
Besides, Old Spice is the smell of grandpas and perverts. The first isn't going to see the ad, the second isn't going to care. They are targeting a new audience...the edgier men that find this scent to be ironic and thus hip. They will positively respond to this.
