I got a response from 6Apart - but it was utterly useless. Basically it said "Take it up with the blog owner".

I sent in a note to 6Apart / TypePad yesterday as well as I was seriously considering using the hosted version for a new software package I'm about to launch (I have a paid for copy of MovableType with my other company, but I really didn't think it would be fair for my partners to front for hosting for a product they aren't getting any benefit from). I mentioned that the fact that single WORDS are enough to block a post and that I'll probably pick another blogging software if there isn't a way around all of this.
I haven't heard anything back yet...
