It's a device for finding lLego before the vacuum cleaner does. If it weren't for the amount that goes up the pipe the whole earth would be covered with Lego to a depth of 1.43 inches. This detector, while a good thing for the individual and their cleaner is a retrograde step for the world, bringing forward as it does the dreadful day when the whole planet is covered with shiny ABS.

It is an underground line finder used to locate buried electrical and telecom lines before construction or digging
