Light-Up Moon: 'Fill your room with moonlight — every night!'

From the website:

    Light-Up Moon

Automatically cycles through 12 moon phases

Fill your room with moonlight every night!

Match what the real moon looks like outside.

Authentically detailed moon model hangs on your wall.

Built-in light sensor turns the moon on when it gets dark.

Remote control lets you choose which phase to light up.

Includes 15 minute CD audio tour of the moon.

Remote uses 2 AAA batteries (not included).

Moon uses 4 AA batteries (not included).

    Auto shut-off saves batteries.

    Easily mounts to any wall.

    Moon: 10" wide.

Boy, do I see a great hack here: make it so the moon on your wall automatically mirrors the actual phase in the sky.

As described above — just waiting for your hack: $29.98.

Sic transit novus -- I just noticed this is already on offer at Thinkgeek for $20. A jaded era, isn't it, when having one's own in-house Moon excites only two-thirds the expected interest...?

Why is a hack needed? Line two of the description say it can be matched to the moon outside, and the title says automatic.
