'Intolerable Beauty — Portraits of American Mass Consumption'
By Chris Jordan.
He writes, "My only caveat about this series is that the prints must be seen in person to be experienced the way they are intended."
Four pieces from his series "Running the Numbers" (above) are currently on view at the Montpelier Arts Center in Laurel, Maryland (through February 29, 2008).
Subsequent shows are listed in the lower half of this page.

Fascinating, but for me the "beauty" part never kicked in.
Although, the musical accompaniment, credited as "Music by Yo-Yo Ma 'Appalachian Journey'" is the beautiful "Duet for Cello and Bass" by Edgar Meyer, performed by Yo (if I may call him by his first Yo) and Edgar Meyer, from the album "Appalachian Journey" (on which Mark O'Connor also plays). Very worthwhile.
