These are just felted cushions and it's silly they're charging that much for something that can be made in an hour for a total of $10 for a medium sized one.

You can make your own by knitting a round-like shape or however you want it, sewing up most of the ends (folding it inside out to hide seams) and then felt it. Fill it up with stuffing when dry and sew the small hole closed.

They don't even have to be grey; you could make them purple and furry.

Oooh, that's nice! They'll go nicely in the conservatory. I'll have to figure out how to make some.

The picture looks like the fabric might be boiled wool, but you could make a reasonable (and way less itchy) facsimile using an oatmeal-colored, high quality, short-nap poly/acrylic fleece (such as used for well made cat/dog beds). From what I can tell, they seem to be sewn together with an elongated baseball pattern. Pack tight with foam core and fiberfill, and maybe throw in a little catnip for the fuzzsters, and purrrrrrrr....

Assuming the small rocks in the above picture are at the low end of the spectrum ($145) and the large rock is at the high end ($675), I'm not sure how much Black Amex-induced liquor would be required to get me to spend $1835 on pillows.

It wasn't until my wife pointed out that I was eager to spend a copious amount of cash (sober) on something as absurd as this flame-and-pin-striped red/silver sailfish, did I realize that someone else might feel as oddly passionate about those rock pillows (at least they sleep, I don't even fish).

The fish - http://www.thefishman.net/marlin-silver-red.htm

Each to their own, I guess.

Oh my stones! I want those; lots. Will have to figure out how to make them....felted fabric, I bet.

Such whimsy.
