Groqit — 'Have you ever bought the same DVD twice?'
The website calls it "The perfect gift for the one who has everything: a way to keep track!"
You be the judge.

BARBARA HUFFERT is an author in some kind of “erotic romance” genre, which seems to include elements of bondage – at least going by one title “Bound Brits” and the many loops of chain draping the gleaming, muscled torso on the book’s cover.
She has embraced the Groqit for its virtues as a tracker of books: “A Groqit is the answer to my book collection woes.”
So now we know for sure that the virtuous eschew collecting lots of stuff, and the Very Very Bad are the ones with plenty of books.
Naughty, naughty books.

Admirable simplicity:
One each of cup and cot and chair, a bowl for rice,
Four bare walls and - your computer?
Not for me:
Shelves climb walls like ivy, a thousand volumes bloom.
Cherished books look back at me from all around, and music by the yard on gleaming discs.
The comforts and delights of mozart, Bach, Vivaldi; time-scented pages of genius and wit -
those pleasures of civilization recommend mankind to me most.

if you buy it
consume it
forget it
then did you need it to begin with?
next time the urge comes, put away the credit card
