Not completely useless.....
(1) It would be usefull in delaying someones exit from a room. Very much like delayed magnetic ( 5 sec ) lock systems designed for security reasons. But no power needed.
(2) It could stop your grand-parents from getting alzheimer's ( forced brain exercise )
(3) Annoying blind people.
Maybe I should be a marketer ?

I can't see what the advantage is - if you're already on the inside then the maze is trivial. If you're outside then you can't reach it.
