Ice Cold Drinks in 20 Seconds

I'm tempted to try this.

But somehow I think the end result for this TechnoDolt™ might well be a visit to the ER to have them pick out bits of Diet Coke can shrapnel from my forehead.

I'll pass.

But that doesn't mean you have to.

Does it really work?

I await the collective feedback of joehead Nation.

That canned air is really bad stuff. Don't want to have a finger break off (really)? Then don't try this, a warm beer once is a lot better than nine finger for life!

The temp of the air that the can is spraying on is quite different from the temp of the liquid in the can. The former is the temp that we see, the latter, the one that we don't.

This works because air duster contains a pressurized low weight hydrocarbon, a chemical cousin of the refrigerant, 'freon.'

To safely achieve the desired reslults, you would have to take care and do the following...

Hold the can upside down. (to release frozen liquid gas)

Do not fully seal the container. (to prevent container from bursting)
Wait a few seconds before toughing the ice cold beer.

I would know because I am the producer of the video.

If you can't pay your electric bill how are you going to pay for a $5 can of compressed air. It would still be cheaper to go and buy a cold beer. FAIL!!!!!!

1. Dump ice cubes & cold water in bucket/sink
2. place can in middle of it all
3. spin the can with one finger for about 10sec.
4. drink the ice cold beer.

works everything for me!

1. Take same bucket, drop in a tray full of ice cubes (forgo making hole)
2. Fill 3/4 full with cold tap water,
3. Dump in a BUNCH of salt,
4. Swish around to mix
5. Insert Beer and put bucket in fridge or freezer
6. Wait 5 mins...
7. Drink Cold Beer.

Works faster than non-saline water and just putting it in the freezer. Works really well in a big cooler at the beach when you need to cool down a 30 pack quickly with a single large bag of ice.

Sure, it'll work, but the environmental impact is horrid. Very very wasteful.

If you really want to cool beer fast, shove the can in the icebox and wait ten minutes.

Anyway, beer shouldn't be cold - that's lager.
