Corn on the Cob Microwave Steamer

Lijiohjiuhj

"Make corn on the cob in minutes!"

Sounds good to me.

Beats putting a pot of water on to boil and then watching the corn.

This way all you have to do is put two tablespoons of water into the steamer along with an ear or two of fresh or frozen corn and then nuke it.

10" x 8" x 2.5".

Plastic.

$5.98.

And no — I haven't the faintest idea why the steamer, as pictured (top) in the catalog offering it for sale, appears to be resting on a carpet.

Have been looking for more of these steamers. Best thing to steam corn in. I steam 2 ears of corn for our dinner and while we are starting our dinner 2 more ears are in the micro. So happy that I found them.
Going to put in an order to give as gifts to people who have seen how easy they work. Husked corn (peeled corn) put in with the tblsp water set it on high for 4 min. Instructions said 5 we found it just as good at 4 min.

Far too early to post anything. I meant put the corn in UNSHUCKED. Like it came from the store.

Just put the cob in the microwave for 6 minutes, still shucked. After 6 minutes, take it out and shuck it (with a paper towel.) (Duh.) The silk comes off with the outside layers. No special appliances needed. Well, except for a paper plate to put it in. Or you can wrap it in a paper towel instead of putting it on a plate.
