Hey Joe,
I was reading Marching Powder by Rusty Young and Thomas McFadden thinking that perhaps I got the reference for it from your website. Upon looking for it it was from Screenhead.com, but really, you should read it if you haven't. It's a wonderful bio that gives a look into the a prison in La Paz, Bolivia and, perhaps, other Third World countries just ten years ago. Why is it that we feel sorry for people in jail, even if they broke the law to get there?
Did you get a chance to see that documentary, Tom Dowd and the Language of Music?
