This better be good.

Ultimate Travel Mug

Our favorite travel mug keeps coffee hot up to 6 hours

Unlike most double-wall stainless steel travel mugs, this mug has a vacuum between the walls for increased performance.

Almost all travel mugs have a large plastic top with a sip hole that lets heat and liquids escape.

This mug's super-efficient valve top opens with a push on the center button and closes with a push on the outer ring.

This unique leak-proof design keeps coffee hot for up to 6 hours.

Drink from any side you like.

There's no need to fumble for a handle or find the drink hole, thus allowing you to keep your eyes on the road.

Includes an outer cap for extra protection and soft carry case.

Well, I emailed the company and it sounds like this is definitely hand wash only...so that's a deal-breaker for me. I've already had to toss a couple "hand wash recommended" Starbucks travel mugs because they accidentally ended up in the dishwasher and then proceeded to leak constantly.

"How to dissemble and assemble the top for cleaning"
Special Cleaning of the JOEmo Mug Top
To Clean Top:
1. Remove the drink top and place in your hand and push the button to the open
valve position.
2. Push the very bottom of the drink valve with the palm of your hand upward;
the push plate on the top will disengage with a snap.
3. Hand cleaning of all top components can now be done in soapy warm water.
CAUTION: the button my represent a choking hazard
4. To re-assemble, place the button in the top plate and hold with plate upside
down so the button does not fall out.
5. Turn the drink top upside down also and locate and place the button/plate
assembly in the top while it’s upside down.
6. Turn it all back over.
7. If the plate and button are now generally flat at the same level, push down
on the sides of the push plate firmly with both thumbs. The assembly should
snap together but if it does not, rotate plate assembly upside down and try
again. If the button is much lower than the top plate, do not try to assemble
turn over and rotate & retry again. Test by pushing the button, if OK you are
done.

I'm curious to try one, since it's a little bit cheaper than a Contigo (~20 bucks) but the fact that I can turn a contigo upside down and shake vigorously without spilling has made me skeptical of other spillproof claims. It may seem like overkill, but it lets me keep my coffee near my gadgets without fear, and that helps my sanity very much.
