We get email: From Sruli Recht himself, inventor of the Umbuster Brass Knuckle Brolly
His communication came in on November 26 but for one reason or another I'm just getting around to it.
No matter, better late than never.
Turns out his prototype (above and below), featured here on October 4, 2008, generated so much heat he pushed it into production.
The designer's email:
....................
Dear joe,
after some few years the non-product continuously known as the Umbuster has formally graduated from solid-world prototype to a bespoke-produced and purchasable boxed good.
Each handle is individually CNC-cut in a 16 hour process by the enduring Mr. Liu.
The umbrella itself is provided by the good Guy de Jean of France.
And finally packaged in the boxes designed with the good Snorri Már Snorrason here in Reykjavik Proper.
€225.
all the best,
contact@srulirecht.com
....................
"The Umbuster has been classified a Class 5 weapon by good and upright men and women of the Victorian Police."
You can learn all about how the Umbuster came to be right here.
