Bored with YouTube's bookofjoe channel? It's time for VaticanTV

A nice change of pace from the pretty much moribund bookofjoe channel where you'll find the same old six videos, consisting of:

• Two where I demonstrate preparation for anesthesia

• Three featuring my cats doing this and that

• One featuring a jet-powered Port-A-John

The Vatican's channel launched yesterday "in the hope that raising its profile in cyberspace would rally the faithful to its cause," according to Guy Dinmore writing in today's Financial Times.

"Pope Benedict praised social networking internet sites as a 'gift to humanity,' but warned of the dangers of virtual relationships...."

Actually, I'm all for what you are saying Catholic Advocate. I'm just skeptical about Vatican TV qualifying as an "evolving secular wandering." As a wandering Catholic myself, I don't see how this foray into the internet world could bring me back into the religious fold.

Trust Agnostic Miles to point out that Faith should NOT be about "timeless truth" but instead it should bend to satisfy about the evolving secular wanderings of man.

No television channel will help the Vatican or the Catholic church catch up with the times. They've been behind since forever. As to you and bookofjoe tv. It's about time you add a new video. Walk on the treadmill record and post. I'd like to see what .7 miles fast looks like.
