County Armagh Double Footwarmer — 'Kiss your feet, they look Scottish'

Wait a minute, joe, I think you're confused: County Armagh's in Northern Ireland, so what's with the Royal Stewart tartan — that's Scottish, you fool.

Hey, cut me some slack, OK?

I'm just the messenger.

"This double footwarmer is handmade from 100% new lambswool in County Armagh in Northern Ireland's Ulster Province. The exterior has a wool Royal Stewart tartan design woven by the renowned Magees of Donegal. The interior's natural fleece lining has millions of natural air pockets that retain warmth and wick away moisture, keeping your feet comfortable and dry. 13"L x 10"W x 7"H."

I guess the market for these outside County Armagh in Ulster Province and Scotland wasn't what Hammacher Schlemmer had been hoping it would be.

How else to explain the 70% price drop from $99.95 to $29.95?

Don't know when the price cut occurred, but the very recent and dramatic drop in the value of sterling means that UK goods will now be relatively cheap compared to the past 20 years or so. And my trips to the US won't yield so many bargains. :-(

Plaid is fine with me, as long as it's warm.
